Data Systems Developer, SQL & Python

Salary: $55,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and enterprise database structures
• Extensive experience in designing and developing data systems and supporting infrastructure
• Proficient in SQL with practical knowledge of tools like Postgres, Oracle, and MySQL
• Familiarity with Parquet, data warehousing, and data lakehouse architectures
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
• In-depth understanding of ETL/ELT processes, OLTP/OLAP systems, and performance optimization techniques
• Ability to navigate changing systems and build solutions from the ground up
• Team-oriented mindset, willing to collaborate and contribute to shared objectives

Responsibilities:

• Design and create scalable data systems and infrastructures, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes
• Build and enhance ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient data flow among systems
• Work with SQL, Parquet, and Postgres to manage structured and semi-structured data
• Implement and optimize OLAP and OLTP systems for performance and scalability
• Define and maintain data models, schemas, and necessary documentation
• Establish and refine data governance practices and reliability standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical data solutions
• Utilize platforms like AWS to support and scale our cloud-based data environment
• Assist with analytics and reporting initiatives using tools like Tableau or Power BI
