Job Title: Electronic Assembler / Hand Solder Technician

Job Description

This role focuses on precise hand soldering and assembly of electronic products, primarily on small circuit boards. You will work from blueprints and schematics, use a variety of small hand and power tools, and perform detailed electronic assembly and inspection tasks. The position supports production of circuit boards for specialized applications, including mining devices and a growing range of medical industry products.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed hand soldering on small circuit boards and electronic components in accordance with established standards and procedures.
• Assemble electronic products by following blueprints, schematics, and work instructions with a high level of accuracy.
• Use small hand tools and power tools to complete electronic assembly tasks safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to correctly place and connect components.
• Carry out SMT soldering tasks as required, ensuring reliable solder joints and proper component placement.
• Inspect completed assemblies and solder joints for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
• Work on production lines and individual workstations to meet daily and weekly output goals.
• Handle circuit boards and electronic components carefully to avoid damage from handling or electrostatic discharge.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-train in multiple departments to support production needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all facility safety and quality procedures.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years of hand soldering experience on electronic assemblies and circuit boards.
• Proficiency in electronic assembly, including component placement, wiring, and soldering.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely in an assembly or production environment.
• Familiarity with SMT soldering processes and techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise work on small components.
• Capability to inspect and verify the quality of solder joints and assembled circuit boards.
• Comfort working in a production environment with established processes and standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with circuit boards for specialized applications such as industrial or technical devices.
• Experience in electrical or electronic assembly in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Comfortable cross-training and learning new skills in multiple departments.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality guidelines consistently.
• Strong manual dexterity for handling small parts and performing fine soldering work.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, organized, and well-lit facility designed for precision electronic assembly. You will work on a day shift schedule, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 . to 4:00 ., and Friday from 7:00 . to 1:00 ., supporting a healthy work-life balance. The environment involves working at benches or workstations with small tools, soldering equipment, and circuit boards, following established safety and quality procedures. Steel-toe footwear is not required, and the facility maintains a professional yet comfortable atmosphere suited to focused, detail-oriented work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Etobicoke, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
