Position: Physiotherapist (PT) – WSIB Community Rehabilitation
Location: Peterborough/Lindsay
Status: Independent Contractor
Compensation: $55–60/hour (block-funded WSIB model)
About Qualicare Durham Region
Qualicare Durham Region is expanding its rehabilitation services under a new WSIB contract to support injured workers requiring in-home physiotherapy. Our model emphasizes
functional recovery, safety, and timely return to work within a professionally governed, community-based program.
Role Summary
We are seeking experienced Physiotherapists to provide
in-home WSIB rehabilitation services for injured workers who cannot attend outpatient clinics. This role focuses on mobility, strength, pain management, and functional independence using evidence-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete in-home PT assessments for WSIB clients
- Deliver individualized, goal-oriented rehabilitation programs
- Address mobility, strength, endurance, and pain management
- Progress treatment plans within WSIB treatment blocks
- Educate clients on self-management and recovery strategies
- Complete WSIB-compliant documentation and reporting within timelines
- Collaborate with RN assessors and interdisciplinary team members
Qualifications
- Registered Physiotherapist in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience
- Community, orthopedic, or rehab experience preferred
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Compensation Model
- Block-funded model
- Equivalent to $55–60/hour
- Flexible caseload depending on referral volume
