About the Firm

Our client is a highly respected, multidisciplinary architecture and design practice with offices across Canada, recognized for delivering technically sophisticated projects throughout the industrial, commercial, workplace, retail, and technology sectors. With decades of experience and a diverse national portfolio, the firm has built a reputation for solving complex design and technical challenges for some of Canada's most recognized developers, institutional clients, and private organizations.

The firm is known for delivering innovative architectural solutions that balance technical excellence, functionality, and long-term value. Their work spans complex industrial facilities, advanced manufacturing, distribution centres, workplace environments, commercial developments, adaptive reuse projects, and emerging technology sectors, providing employees with exposure to a broad and diverse range of project types.

Collaboration sits at the heart of the firm's culture. Despite operating from multiple offices, project teams work seamlessly together through daily virtual collaboration, video meetings, and integrated BIM workflows. This creates an engaging, highly connected environment where remote employees remain fully involved in project delivery, mentorship, and decision making.

The firm is committed to investing in its people through ongoing professional development, technical mentorship, and meaningful opportunities for career advancement. Team members are encouraged to take ownership of their work, contribute ideas, and grow alongside an organization that continues to expand across Canada.

Why Join This Team?

This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate Architectural Technologist looking to work on technically challenging, large-scale commercial and industrial projects while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote position.

You'll collaborate daily with experienced architects, technologists, engineers, and project managers across Canada, contributing to nationally recognized projects without sacrificing work-life balance. The firm offers strong mentorship, a highly collaborative culture, and excellent opportunities to continue developing both your technical and project delivery skills.

If you enjoy producing high-quality construction documentation, solving complex technical challenges, and working with an experienced national team, this is an outstanding long-term career opportunity.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join their growing national team in a fully remote capacity.

Candidates must have project experience in several of the following building typologies:

• Adaptive Reuse & Retrofits

• Industrial Multi Tenant Developments
• Manufacturing Facilities
• Master Planning Projects

Working closely with project teams across multiple offices, you will prepare construction documentation, coordinate consultants, develop Revit models, and contribute throughout all phases of project delivery. Although the role is 100% remote, ongoing collaboration through Microsoft Teams, video meetings, and digital communication is an integral part of the team's daily workflow, ensuring you remain fully connected with colleagues across the country.

As part of the firm's continued growth strategy, there are plans to establish a Vancouver office in the future. Once that office is operational, this position is expected to transition to a hybrid work arrangement, providing the opportunity to continue enjoying workplace flexibility while becoming part of a growing local team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the firm during a period of expansion and grow alongside its long-term presence in Western Canada.

  • Support contract administration activities as required
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and senior technical staff to successfully deliver projects across Canada

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology or Architecture
  • Approximately 5 to 8 years of professional Canadian experience
  • Strong proficiency in Revit
  • Experience producing construction documents for commercial and industrial buildings
  • Canadian project experience within several of the required industrial and commercial building typologies listed above
  • Demonstrated experience across multiple project phases, including design development, construction documentation, and contract administration
  • Strong consultant coordination and technical detailing abilities
  • Solid understanding of Canadian building codes, construction practices, and project delivery
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while remaining highly engaged within a collaborative remote team environment

What's On Offer

  • Competitive salary, based on experience and qualifications
  • 100% remote position with a planned transition to a hybrid work model as the firm expands into Vancouver
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and extended benefits
  • Opportunity to join a growing national firm during an exciting period of expansion into Western Canada
  • Work with a highly collaborative national team through daily virtual collaboration
  • Exposure to complex industrial, commercial, workplace, retail, technology, manufacturing, and distribution projects across Canada
  • Excellent mentorship from experienced project leaders
  • Professional development and long-term career advancement opportunities
  • Supportive, people-first culture focused on collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous growth

If you are an Intermediate Architectural Technologist looking to join a nationally recognized architecture practice offering challenging projects, exceptional mentorship, and the flexibility of a fully remote position with future opportunities to be part of a growing Vancouver office, I'd love to connect.
