THE ROLE:

As a Shuttle Driver you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our guests. Your role involves operating one of our vehicles - transporting arriving and departing guests between the resort and local airports; operating shuttles between our resort and golf course or to local events and attractions; while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws and following designated routes. You will provide a friendly and professional atmosphere, contribute to a wonderful guest experience.

ACTIVITIES:

The duties and responsibilities for the shuttle driver include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Respond to all guest inquiries consistently offering professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Remain current on all information relevant to local and hotel services and offerings in order to appropriately respond to guest enquiries.
  • Understand the importance of being punctual and reliable, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs for guests to reach their destinations promptly
  • Be aware of the local area, different routes, activities, landmarks, and be able to promote the local and resort offerings.
  • Varied availability, including early morning and late-night pickups and drop-offs. Overnight stays at hotel between drop-offs and pickups on occasion.
  • Ensuring the safety of passengers by adhering to traffic rules and regulations
  • Being an ambassador for St Andrews and surrounding areas
  • Required to assist the bell team with duties as needed

    COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING:

    • Previous customer service experience required
    • Previous resort hotel experience an asset
    • Second language preferred
    • Knowledge of the local area preferred.
    • Must have a valid driver's license, with a clean drivers abstract
    • As a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
    • Able to lift of carry 50lbs or more
