We are currently seeking a Scheduler for our Pickering, ON office. This posting is for an existing vacancy for which we are actively recruiting. Responsibilities
- Lead the development, maintenance, and integration of detailed project schedules for engineering, procurement, and construction activities using Primavera P6.
- Structure, monitor, and manage schedules exceeding 1,000+ activities with multiple workstreams and interfaces.
- Coordinate with engineering leads, project managers, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule logic, sequencing, and deliverable dependencies are fully aligned.
- Perform critical path analysis, risk and impact assessments, schedule compression modeling, and “what-if” scenario planning.
- Generate regular schedule performance reports outlining progress, variances, forecasted completion, and key risks for internal leadership and external clients.
- Monitor resource loading and utilization and identify constraints or staffing pressures early.
- Support earned value management, cost/schedule integration, and baseline control processes.
- Interface directly with clients on schedule reviews, integration of owner-provided data, and reporting expectations.
- Uphold strong governance standards for schedule quality, coding structures, calendars, and baseline management in accordance with corporate PMO requirements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in project scheduling or project controls, with senior‑level proficiency in planning complex engineering or EPC projects.
- Working level experience in Primavera P6, including schedule structuring, coding, resource loading, and advanced reporting.
- Demonstrated experience managing schedules with 1,000+ activities and multi‑disciplinary engineering inputs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret schedule data and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and other scheduling/reporting tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across a diverse engineering and project management team.
- Must be able to obtain security clearance.
Compensation
The expected annual compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $115,000 per annum. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining compensation, including but not limited to education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
Additional Information
A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
