Labourer, Factory - Manufacturing

We are currently recruiting a dependable and detail-oriented Factory Labourer for a full-time opportunity with one of our manufacturing clients located in Slemon Park. This is a temporary position, with the potential for permanent employment based on performance and attendance.
The Factory Labourer will support the full production process involving the manufacturing and assembly of fiber optic cable assemblies and related components. This role is well-suited for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have strong attention to detail, and are comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.THE JOB

• Assist with the manufacturing and assembly of fiber optic cable assemblies and hardware
• Perform visual quality checks and inspections to ensure product standards are met
• Handle materials and components throughout various stages of production
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all workplace safety policies and production procedures

• $18.00/hour + 4% vacation pay
• Temp-to-perm opportunity based on performance
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail, with good eyesight and steady hands (fine motor skills required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Hands-on assembly experience is considered an asset
• CSA-approved steel-toed safety shoes or boots
