Job description
The Langley School District is situated on the traditional unceded territories of the Matsqui, Kwantlen, Katzie, and Semiahmoo First Nations. The location for this position is TBD and the successful candidate will be placed at the needs of the district. POSTING DETAILS Position: Central Resource Teacher - 1.0 FTE Hours: Full time Employment: Permanent Location(s): Varied / To be determined REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS A Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent training Two years of successful teaching experience in regular programs Diploma in Special Education or equivalent with 30 credits of course work in the following areas: learning disabilities, behaviour difficulties, intellectual disabilities, assessment, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Experience in IEP development, implementation and monitoring Demonstrated ability in effective communication and consultation Or equivalent training, or experience For your application to be considered, all required documents must be included: Resume & Cover Letter (please note your teachable subjects) Recent teaching reports and/or practicum reports Copy of BC Teacher Regulation Branch Certificate and/or TQS card or information on current status PLEASE NOTE The starting annual salary for this School Teacher position ranges from $59,711-$109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. In accordance with the Criminal Record Review Act, successful applicants will be required to consent to a Criminal Record Check prior to employment.
