About the role
We’re looking for an Inside Sales Representative who enjoys problem-solving and delivering practical solutions for customers. You’ll combine sales skills with technical / product knowledge to support existing accounts, prospect for new opportunities, prepare estimates and quotations, and help ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on schedule.
This role reports to the Regional Sales Manager (BC & Yukon) and is based in our Armstrong, BC office.
What you’ll do
Prospecting & lead management
- Identify and develop leads through cold calling, email outreach, social media, and inbound inquiries.
- Qualify leads by assessing needs, interest, and purchasing authority.
Estimating & tender support
Prepare takeoffs and estimates for tendered projects.Review project tender documents and specifications as required.Sales & customer solutions
Build strong product knowledge of AIL commodity products to communicate value and recommend solutions.Support negotiations for agreements, change orders, and contracts.Use effective sales techniques to secure orders and close opportunities.Order & logistics support
Complete order entry, book transportation, negotiate pricing, and coordinate deliveries with freight carriers.Prepare and submit estimates / quotations and follow up with customers, owners, and consultants.Coordinate with manufacturing teams to keep client orders on schedule.Inventory support
Assist with inventory levels for commodity products including (but not limited to) : CSP, Couplers, Wire Walls, Track Strips, and Geotextile.Relationship management & reporting
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support repeat business and referrals.Maintain accurate sales activity records using Estimator, SQL Reporting, and Visual; support market share tracking for commodity products.Teamwork & development
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and internal stakeholders to optimize strategies and achieve revenue goals.Support / backstop the Project Coordinator as needed.Assist with training new CSRs / Inside Sales Representatives.Other duties as assigned.
