This is a part-time position at FTE 30%. Total 11.25 hours a week.

The compensation will be prorated to FTE 30%.

Job Summary


Organizational Status
The Lab Assistant will report to the PI Dr. Lacey Samuels.

Work Performed

• Cleans and sterilizes glassware.
• Performs laboratory clean up tasks.
• Assists in basic maintenance of lab teaching equipment.
• Assists in stocking supplies and updating inventory.
• Assists in routine sorting of samples.
• Prepares media and other simple preparation tasks.
• Carries out any other related duties as required in keeping with the qualifications and requirements of positions in this classification.

Consequence of Error/Judgement
All work being done will be under close supervision by the Principle Investigator and all decisions about experimental procedures will be made in cohort with the Principle Investigator.

Minimum Qualifications
High school graduation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
