Financial Management Analyst

Location : Barrie, Ontario

About the Opportunity :

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Management Analyst to support key financial operations, forecasting, and reporting within a fast-paced, multi-product environment. This role plays a critical part in driving profitability, evaluating business performance, and supporting decision-making across the organization.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Controller and collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams across finance and business operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Budgeting & Forecasting :

  • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for internal leadership and corporate reporting.

Financial Analysis & Reporting :

  • Conduct detailed monthly variance analysis against budget and forecasts.
  • Prepare consolidated financial reports for internal management and external parent company.
  • Model business scenarios to evaluate future initiatives and evolving market conditions.
  • Analyze and manage cash flow, evaluating reserves against upcoming business needs and market trends.
  • Assist with interim and year-end audit processes and financial reporting.
  • Provide costing and pricing analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Other Responsibilities :

  • Adapt to a dynamic work environment with flexibility to take on additional tasks as required.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and enhanced reporting.
  • Maintain or develop financial models to support profitability analysis by business unit.
  • Ensure all reporting is clearly communicated and delivered in a timely manner to support effective decision-making.
  • Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial analyst or similar finance role, ideally within a complex, multi-product organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) or actively pursuing it is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications is essential.
  • Experience with cost analysis in a multi-product environment is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, and corporate reporting best practices.
