Financial Management Analyst
Location : Barrie, Ontario
About the Opportunity :
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Management Analyst to support key financial operations, forecasting, and reporting within a fast-paced, multi-product environment. This role plays a critical part in driving profitability, evaluating business performance, and supporting decision-making across the organization.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Controller and collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams across finance and business operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Budgeting & Forecasting :
- Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for internal leadership and corporate reporting.
Financial Analysis & Reporting :
Conduct detailed monthly variance analysis against budget and forecasts.Prepare consolidated financial reports for internal management and external parent company.Model business scenarios to evaluate future initiatives and evolving market conditions.Analyze and manage cash flow, evaluating reserves against upcoming business needs and market trends.Assist with interim and year-end audit processes and financial reporting.Provide costing and pricing analysis to support management decision-making.Other Responsibilities :
Adapt to a dynamic work environment with flexibility to take on additional tasks as required.Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and enhanced reporting.Maintain or develop financial models to support profitability analysis by business unit.Ensure all reporting is clearly communicated and delivered in a timely manner to support effective decision-making.Required Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial analyst or similar finance role, ideally within a complex, multi-product organization.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.Professional accounting designation (CPA) or actively pursuing it is strongly preferred.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications is essential.Experience with cost analysis in a multi-product environment is considered a strong asset.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.Knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, and corporate reporting best practices.What’s Offered :
