Position Summary :
The Business Intelligence Specialist is responsible for designing, developing and implementing business intelligence solutions that enable stakeholders to access and interpret data effectively. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and will use specialized tools to develop BPMs, dashboards, reports, transactional forms and workflows to track and advance business performance. The position will work collaboratively with a team focused on global technology transformation and will be expected to support various IT functions.
Responsibilities & Expectations :
- Develop, implement and maintain transactional forms, reports and dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics. Ensure stakeholders have access to real-time data insights.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data used for reporting. Identify and resolve data discrepancies or inconsistencies.
- Provide ad-hoc reports and data analysis as required by business leaders and teams, supporting various strategic initiatives.
- Utilize the BPM tools available with the company’s ERP to develop optimized workflows to maximize operational efficiency.
- Participate in global ERP project and support other tasks and projects as required by the position.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that software components integrate seamlessly and function as expected.
- Perform testing and debugging of software, as well as maintain and update existing software applications.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users, as well as other members of the team.
- Provide guidance, support, and solution designs for departmental heads.
- Provide operational support for existing solutions.
- Enforce analytics development standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Other miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics or related field.Proven experience (3+ years) in a role related to reporting, software & analytics development.Superior computer skills and experience across all Microsoft applications including Microsoft Power Suite.Experience with BI tools such as PowerBI.Experience in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and transformation.Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends or inconsistencies.Experience using an ERP, Epicor Kinetic will be considered a strong asset.Good interpersonal and client-handling skills, ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail.Excellent planning, organization and time management skillsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to relay complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teamsCapable of working well in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentProven analytical and problem-solving skillsWhat do we offer?
