We are looking for a Civil Engineer based in Saguenay, QC to work on projects involving substation and power line structures, and energy transmission and distribution ( T&D ). Primary Responsibilities

Under the supervision of project managers, take charge of specific aspects of projects related to substation and power line structures.
Manage files : planning and administrative follow-up
Ensure quality control of project-related practices
Conduct studies and draft technical reports and specifications
Coordinate and supervise the work of technicians and draftsmen involved in the projects for which he or she is responsible
Visit project sites and participate in construction site supervision (when required)
Participate in the preparation of service offers
In the medium term, this person will be called upon to establish and maintain relationships with customers and become a project manager with the support of a mentor

Qualifications

University Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Member of l'Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible to register

More than five (5) years of experience in structural design (mainly steel and concrete structures). Experience in substation or line structures design (an asset)

Interest in and ability to develop 3D design and modeling skills using a variety of commercial programs (SolidWorks, Revit, Civil 3D, etc.)

Knowledge of the PLS software suite (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER)

Knowledge of structural analysis software such as SAFI or S-Frame (an asset)

Fluency in spoken and written French

Autonomy, initiative and ability to work as part of a team
