Position Overview
As a Stress Analyst/Engineer, you will perform structural qualification of nuclear components and thermal‑hydraulic analysis of heat exchanger equipment, providing critical input to project engineering and ensuring compliance with ASME and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform varied engineering assignments as part of a project, following established procedures and collaborating with senior engineers.
- Conduct analysis and design qualification using finite element analysis or classical closed‑form solutions, including structural, transient thermal, heat‑transfer, CFD, response spectrum, time‑history seismic, and flow‑induced vibration analysis.
- Prepare calculations, reports, and design qualification documentation, and evaluate non‑conformances as needed.
- Provide input to project engineering to set design criteria and ensure acceptance to ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and customer specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field with a strong background in solid or fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
- 5+ years of experience in finite element analysis, using codes such as ANSYS or ABAQUS, and familiarity with numerical packages such as MathCAD or MATLAB.
- Knowledge of nuclear plant functions and ASME BPV Code is an asset; familiarity with CSA S16 or equivalent structural codes is also an asset.
- Proven problem‑solving and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation
Base salary range: $73,000 – $106,000 per year. Total compensation may include a variable annual cash incentive and other benefits as the selected candidate receives an offer.
