Your role and responsibilities
Support the ABB Motion sales organization, partners and customers throughout the sales process by preparing strategic plans to growth System Drives Base Business in Canada.
In this position, you will create and drive growth initiatives, including business plan preparation, portfolio positioning, market analysis, pricing strategies, contract review, forecasting and serving as a key resource in the assigned area.
Sales support : Lead growth initiatives and support the Motion Canada Sales Organization / partners / customers in strategic plan development, determining the most appropriate approaches.
Provides technical and commercial support, product presentations and negotiations and offers product / solution / service-related training.
Develop strategic growth plan for existing and new potential partners and customers.
- Offer preparation : Supports sales strategies, opportunity screening, preparation of technical / commercial value proposition based on customer specification requirements, Local Division indications and Sales organization directives.
- Costs Definition : Defines market price levels for the proposed solution and communicates to Sales organization.
- Risk review : When applicable, provides information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participates in the risk review assessment.
- Competitive analysis : Analyzes customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by the Sales Organization.
- Lost proposals : Performs lost opportunity analysis, identifies potential cause, and recommends future actions in cooperation with Sales / Local Business Unit to obtain better future results.
Qualifications for the role
- Collegial / Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or a related field. Additional certifications in sales management, strategic planning, or related areas can be beneficial.
- 5 years’ experience minimum in sales and business development domain.
- Experience in strategic sales planning, including market analysis, competitor analysis, and developing sales strategies.
Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
- Ability to travel (approximately 20% of time, mainly in Canada).
