Adecco is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Superintendent to join our client's team in Calgary, AB. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $145,000 per year. As a Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing residential construction projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities :

  • Schedule and coordinate material and labor deliveries to maintain project timelines.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure work aligns with building codes, safety regulations, and client expectations.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, identify potential issues, and communicate any discrepancies or concerns to the project management team.
  • Supervise, guide, and mentor on-site workers, ensuring they understand their tasks and adhere to safety practices.
  • Lead safety meetings, enforce adherence to safety regulations, and ensure that all necessary safety reports are completed accurately.
  • Meet with homeowners before possession to conduct home inspections and address concerns or deficiencies to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain project schedules, provide regular updates on progress, and collaborate closely with the project management team to keep the project on track.
  • Requirements :

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with team members, trade partners, suppliers, and clients in both written and verbal formats.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams, offering guidance and fostering a positive, productive work environment.
  • Capable of identifying potential issues on-site and coming up with practical, innovative solutions to resolve them.
  • Deep understanding of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe construction environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years working as a Site Superintendent in residential construction, with a solid understanding of construction codes and procedures.
  • Comfortable using construction management software (such as BuildPro, NewStar), as well as Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Able to perform essential physical duties associated with construction site management, as needed.
  • A valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check.
  • Experience conducting homeowner walk-throughs and coordinating key releases is a significant asset.
