The Opportunity:

The Recreation and Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for planning developing and facilitating a variety of meaningful recreation and leisure pursuits which promote wellbeing purpose creativity a sense of community lifelong learning and fun.

What Is In It For You:

Maintains department records and completes all documentation as per required timelines including: Resident Assessments/Re-Assessments Care Planning MDS Coding/RAPs Progress Notes and Activity Pro.
Participates in the on-going evaluation of the recreation and volunteer programs and related quality improvement processes.
Maintains recreation supplies and other related tools/resources in good working condition and as per related infection control policies and procedures reporting deficiencies to the Program Manager.


What You Will Need:

Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Recreation and Leisure Studies or Therapeutic Recreation is preferred.
Degree or Diploma in a related field such as Kinesiology or Gerontology and related experience specific to providing recreation and leisure services in a healthcare setting preferably with seniors.
Provincial Safe Food Handling Certification.
Certificate in Volunteer Management is preferred.
