Your Mission Brief
WOLF is on the hunt for a full-time Senior Systems Integration Engineer / Senior Applications & Integration Engineer to join our customer support and applications team based in our office in Aurora, ON. This is a primarily on-site role with occasional flexibility for remote work when tasks allow.
Working closely with Engineering, Quality, RMA, and Sales, you’ll play a mission-critical role in customer system integration, resolving hardware, software, and firmware issues as well as design-level problems raised by customers.
You will reproduce customer environments (carrier / backplane, BIOS / UEFI, drivers / BSP, OS images) to recreate issues, determine root cause, and propose ECRs and ECOs that improve reliability and ensure seamless integration of WOLF’s high-performance embedded systems into defence and aerospace applications.
As Senior Systems Integration Engineer / Senior Applications & Integration Engineer at WOLF, you might…
Leading technical triage : Quickly assessing customer issues and routing them to Engineering, Quality, or RMA as needed
Driving integration success : Replicating customer problems in the lab and developing actionable fixes
Championing customer engagement : Serving as a trusted point of contact through calls, email, and on-site visits
Accelerating resolution : Managing technical requests in GitHub, Jira, and other ticketing systems to ensure timely closure
Collaborating cross-functionally : Partnering with Sales, Production, and Engineering to deliver scalable solutions
Elevating documentation : Producing troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and manuals that enable faster customer self-service
Enhancing quality systems : Initiating EPRs and ECOs while contributing field insights that strengthen QMS processes
Representing WOLF externally : Showcasing technical expertise at conferences, customer demos, and industry forums
Your Edge
You hold a Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Electronics, Computer, or Systems Engineering (or a related field) and bring 7+ years of experience in field application engineering, technical support, or product / application engineering. You have proven experience with XMC, VPX / OpenVPX, PCIe, FPGA, GPUs, and platforms from NVIDIA and AMD, paired with knowledge of defence standards such as SOSA, CMOSS, and VICTORY.
You are adept at Linux debugging (dmesg, journalctl, kernel logs), have an understanding of PCIe fundamentals, and are familiar with CUDA basics or ROCm awareness. You bring experience with Python, Bash, and scripting for automation, as well as using oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and other lab instrumentation to identify and resolve complex integration issues.
With this technical foundation, you are equipped to thrive in a senior role where your problem-solving skills directly support mission-critical defence and aerospace applications.
What You Bring to the Table
Managing technical workflows :
Handling complex requests in GitHub, Jira, or similar systems to ensure timely resolution
Debugging and analysis :
Using schematics, motherboards, and test carriers to replicate and resolve hardware and integration issues
Driving systems integration :
Applying a systems engineering background to support customer adoption and troubleshoot embedded solutions
Expanding valuable expertise :
Exposure to thermal characterization, PCIe link training / Gen negotiation, DMA, BIOS / UEFI settings, GPU driver alignment, backplane / carrier bring-up, RTOS / BSP (VxWorks, Integrity), and video pipelines (V4L2 / GStreamer)
Strengthening compliance :
Supporting quality with knowledge of ISO / QMS environments (ISO 9001, AS9100D) and methods such as Six Sigma / 8D and CAPA
Delivering defence and aerospace expertise :
Bringing experience in high-reliability, regulated environments where compliance and precision are paramount
Translating complexity :
Communicating technical issues clearly to customers and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborating across teams :
Partnering with Engineering, Quality, Sales, Production, and RMA to deliver customer-focused solutions
Building technical expertise :
