Transit Driver - Part Time
Location : Leduc, AB
PWTransit is currently seeking a part-time Transit Driver to join our team in Leduc. We offer competitive wages, ongoing training and development and a family-oriented team environment.
Drivers are responsible for safely transporting passengers on a daily basis and must be committed to providing superior customer service.
Commitment, patience, maturity, and initiative are all required qualities.
Can receive between 15-20 hours per week. Regular weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) required. Additional hours available for vacation and sick coverage.
Leduc residents are preferred.
Position Requirements :
- Minimum class 4 driver's license required; class 2Q considered an asset
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Driver's abstract with no more than 3 demerit points
- Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol screening
- Clear criminal record
- Must be organized, punctual and reliable
- Possess excellent driving skills and habits
- Ability to read maps and navigate
- Ability to communicate effectively
- A good knowledge of the local area is a definite asset
- Willing to work shifts, including split shifts, weekends and statutory holidays as necessary (transit service may operate 7 days per week, 21 hours per day)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
- Safely transport passengers on a number of assigned routes
- Manage passenger behaviour by quickly and effectively solving problems
- Drive safely and responsibly and be prepared for all road and traffic conditions
- Provide superior customer service and assist with passenger questions / inquiries
