Key Responsibilities :
As a Journeyperson Insulator for our pipeline and gas projects, you will be responsible for :
Installing insulation on various components of pipeline systems, including pipes, valves, fittings, and equipment.Applying thermal, acoustic, and fireproofing insulation materials to ensure energy efficiency and safety on gas and pipeline infrastructure.Preparing surfaces for insulation and ensuring proper sealing, caulking, and weatherproofing.Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for gas and pipeline projects.Conducting regular inspections to ensure insulation integrity and compliance with safety standards.Providing mentorship and oversight to Apprentice Insulators on site.As an Apprentice Insulator , your duties will include :
Assisting Journeyperson Insulators in applying insulation to gas pipelines, compressors, valves, and associated components.Learning best practices in insulation installation, safety protocols, and material handling specific to the pipeline and gas industry.Using hand tools, cutting equipment, and safety gear to apply insulation materials.Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulatory standards during insulation work on pipeline projects.Participating in on-the-job training to develop skills specific to pipeline and gas insulation.Qualifications :
For Journeyperson Insulators :
Valid Journeyperson Insulator Certification in Canada.Minimum of 4 years of experience, with a focus on pipeline and gas-related insulation projects.In-depth knowledge of pipeline insulation materials, installation techniques, and safety regulations in the oil and gas industry.Proven ability to work under tight deadlines, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints related to pipeline and gas infrastructure.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.For Apprentice Insulators :
Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.A strong desire to learn and pursue a career in pipeline and gas insulation.Ability to perform physical tasks and work in challenging conditions, including confined spaces and extreme temperatures.Some experience in industrial insulation work is an asset, but not required.Willingness to work in remote locations and on long-term projects as needed.Ability to follow instructions, work well in a team, and maintain a strong focus on safety.What We Offer :
