The successful candidate

s will join an expanding, energetic and supportive department of Speech-Language Pathologists and Communicative Disorders Assistants.

Reporting through the Speech-Language Pathologist Lead to the Superintendent of Learning Services Special Education, the successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will have an opportunity to work collaboratively providing assessment, screening and consultation.

The Waterloo Region District School Board has an opening for a temporary 1.0 FTE Speech-Language Pathologist from September 3, 2023 - June 27, 2024.

A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required. Salary will follow the PSSP collective agreement with a range of $79,001 to $94,430 per annum, prorated to FTE allocation.

Responsibilities In-class observation, modeling and small group instruction Withdrawal for assessment or programming for individuals and groups Development of strategies and materials to assist in implementation of programs Meetings with other multidisciplinary or school-based teams to determine collaborative response to school referrals and needs Respond to system demands in regard to staff development, in-service and networking Qualifications must be registered with, or be eligible for, registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) a master’s degree or equivalent in speech-language pathology excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Experience with school-aged children is preferred Experience with providing virtual services is preferred Use of personal vehicle Valid driver’ s license The Waterloo Region District School Board is committed to equity in employment.
