About the position

Duties

Working supervisor of a team up to five workers responsible for basic maintenance and cleaning of park facilities. Supervising includes scheduling, leave approval, workflow, assigning tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed, monitoring quality standards and providing feedback to team members.Duties also include organizing, preparing and conducting semi-skilled and general maintenance and repairs to maintain facilities (including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc...), structures, equipment, machinery, infrastructure, utilities, and other assets. As the lead hand for the maintenance of front country grounds, administrative buildings, trails, trail structures, parking lots, roadways, campsites, staff and visitor facilities, and comfort stations in Pukaskwa National Park, troubleshooting and effective problem-solving are essential.The work also includes fleet management and completing compliance inspections on all building systems, estimating time and materials, and completing works orders.
