Occupational Therapist, CFB Wainwright

Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.

Position Overview

Collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team at CFB Wainwright, this role offers an Occupational Therapist the opportunity to have a direct impact on the health and wellbeing of today's Canadian Armed Forces service members. We can consider Part-Time or Full-time providers.

Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the unique opportunity to work exclusively with military service members. Your responsibilities will include : Evaluating and providing treatments for individuals with a wide range of injuries; utilizing education, therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and ergonomic modifications; and collaborating in the prescription of supportive and protective devices.

Qualifications

• Licensed with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
• 1 year of experience working with mental health, orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, pre and post-surgical conditions, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and / or amputations
