Overview
We are currently seeking a District Finance Manager to provide strategic financial leadership within one of our Highway Program districts. This position supports financial operations across the Western District , providing financial leadership and coordination for approximately $135 million in annual maintenance and capital budgets, and leading a distributed team of 15 Financial Services Officers and Clerks .
Primary Accountabilities
Qualifications and Experience
You have a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field, and are a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in good standing, or eligible for membership in a recognised international accounting body. You have several years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, including staff supervision and strategic planning.

Working Conditions
Our division supports flexible working options and hybrid models of working. Most of your work is within a comfortable office‑based environment and you will have the opportunity to work from home as operations allow.
This role requires repetitive tasks on a regular basis; a high level of visual and mental concentration; and contact with the public, various Government Departments as well as other local agencies and institutions.
Additional Information
The successful candidate can decide between Hebbville, New Minas, or Middleton Area Office.
