Your Position & How You Will Contribute
Reporting to the Manager, Network Engineering, the Network Systems Specialist, will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the systems that enable our network to operate, scale, and be monitored efficiently. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, build and lead by example. Responsibilities & Key Duties
- Linux System Administration : Manage, secure, and optimize Linux servers hosting critical network services (DHCP, DNS, authentication, monitoring tools).
- Back-End Systems Development : Automate network tasks, integrate systems, and improve operational efficiency using scripting / programming languages (Python, Perl, Bash).
- Monitoring & Optimization : Design, deploy, and maintain robust network monitoring solutions for proactive fault detection and performance analysis.
- Knowledge Leadership : Cross-train peers, share new techniques, and create reusable documentation to foster collective growth.
- Consistency & Improvement : Maintain high standards in systems configuration and seek opportunities for modernization.

Linux server administration and hardening experience.Knowledge of service provider back-office functions (e.g., billing integration, databases).Experience with a back-end programming / scripting language.Practical experience with monitoring / optimization tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix).Deep Juniper KnowledgePractical Service Provider Hands-On ExperienceStrong proficiency in Internet Routing and associated best practicesAccountable ExecutionEducation
Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science (CS), or a related field.Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Networking, or Security, or equivalent work experience.ImPACT Values
