Accounting Manager

Robert Half is partnering with a dynamic, fast-growing company in Downtown Vancouver that’s looking for an Accounting Manager to help elevate its finance function. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to build scalable systems and processes, enhance internal controls, and bring structure to a growing operation—all while ensuring day-to-day accounting runs smoothly. You’ll lead the month-end close and play a key role in shaping how the company approaches financial reporting as it continues to expand. Key Responsibilities :

• Own the month-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Prepare monthly management reports for operational and executive leadership
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting in partnership with the Controller
• Perform ad hoc financial and variance analysis
• Build and implement accounting policies and standards to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
• Design and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Evaluate existing accounting processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and scalability
• Serve as the primary liaison for external audits, managing documentation and addressing auditor requests
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering professional development and maintaining a high-performance team
• Support Finance Department initiatives—such as software and systems implementation, and other departmental or firm-wide improvements—through research, planning, and execution

About You :

As the ideal candidate, you’re likely a Senior Accountant with a strong foundation in public practice and at least 12 months of industry experience, now ready to step into a leadership role.
