The Education Commons will provide, in collaboration with major research and development initiatives where appropriate, the iterative design, implementation and evaluation of technological environments and information space in which the academic and research programs of OISE are carried out.
Your opportunity :
Under the direction of the Director, Education Commons and in collaboration with Education Commons team members and University’s Data Architect, the Technology Adoption Consultant, Data and Systems Integration will lead initiatives to design and implement robust data models, tools, and processes that support OISE’s strategic goals. This role ensures seamless data integration, maintaining high data quality standards, and empowering the OISE community with actionable insights through interactive dashboards and self-service tools.
This role will work with modern cloud environments, such as Azure, and leveraging tools like Power Query, DAX, PowerBI and Power Appsto build insightful PowerBI dashboards and reports. The incumbent will design efficient ETL processes, ensure seamless data integration across platforms, and optimize databases to provide high-quality, consistent data for analysis and decision-making. The role also involves maintaining a comprehensive data dictionary and managing data models, architectures, and classifications, ensuring the OISE community has the tools and information needed for data-driven success.
The incumbent will work collaboratively to create and maintain an OISE-specific “data mart,” enabling self-service reporting for power users. They will act as a bridge between data infrastructure, analytics, and technology, ensuring all solutions align with OISE’s academic and operational priorities.
In this role, you will also be responsible for managing data assets, developing integration frameworks, and providing technical leadership for technology-driven projects. A key part of this role will involve the development and maintenance of a comprehensive data dictionary to improve data understanding and usability across the OISE community.
