Position Overview :

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating costs and materials for pre-engineered steel buildings and will play a crucial role in ensuring our projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for pre-engineered steel building projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to identify cost-effective solutions and value-engineering opportunities.
  • Work closely with clients to clarify project requirements and provide cost-effective proposals.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and ensure the availability of necessary materials.
  • Track project budgets and costs to ensure estimates align with actual expenses and identify potential cost overruns.
  • Provide support in the preparation of bid proposals and tender submissions.
  • Continuously update knowledge of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new building technologies.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating for pre-engineered steel buildings or related construction fields.
  • Strong knowledge of steel building systems, materials, and construction processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is an asset.
