Business Systems Analyst, API - Application Integration On behalf of our client in the Banking Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Business Systems Analyst, API – Application Integration. Business Systems Analyst, API - Application Integration- Job Description

  • Be the bridge between multiple parties including : our business, control functions, technology partners and our engineering teams, responsible for delivering exciting products in the Digital Banking Unit – sitting on many meetings, getting requirements from partners and translating business requirements to technical requirements
  • Reaching out to other technical engineering teams to understand how we can integrate with other applications to get what they need, working with APIs
  • Help scale, enable, and drive online & mobile development excellence as our team continues to deliver innovative solutions customers
  • Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
  • Supports one or more highly complex business processes
  • Working in an Agile environment – working on managing team’s work backlog
  • They will be the only BSA on this project on this team but there are other BSAs they can leverage in other areas for support

Business Systems Analyst, API - Application Integration- Mandatory Skills

  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst – need strong experience with requirement gathering and documentation creation
  • 5+ years of experience with microapps and Microservices architecture, APIs
  • 5+ years’ Agile Scrum experience – demonstrated understanding of Agile concepts, agile estimations, and ceremonies
  • 5+ hands-on experience with architectural diagrams
  • 5+ years’ combined experience JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, MS office suite or equivalent tools
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to simplify complex situations and navigate ambiguity
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Post-secondary – ideally in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field

    • Business Systems Analyst, API - Application Integration- Preferred Skills

  • Financial software development organization experience
  • Experience facilitating onboarding processes
  • Experience with web development (JavaScript) to understand programming concepts so they can easily translate requirements
  • Agile certification an asset
