Due to growth, our company is currently seeking a detail oriented, dynamic, and motivated individual, to join our Parts and Service team.

Our company is a leader in heavy equipment sales and distribution in Canada, and have been for more than 26 years.

Beginning as a service provider with a focus on intermodal container handling equipment, the company has expanded to offer a wide-ranging choice of new and pre-owned heavy equipment for sale and rental, and services a diverse range of customers in several major industries.

The ideal candidate will assist the parts and service department in delivering a superior customer service experience.

The successful candidate will also act as yard equipment person.

WHAT WE REQUIRE :

The duties and functions of this position will include, but are not limited to :

  • Branch Shipping and Receiving duties.
  • Coordinate international shipping including customs documentation.
  • Loading and unloading of Heavy and Light equipment.
  • Reporting to Service Manager weekly, open work order reports and time billings.
  • Adhere to companies Safety policies.
  • Track and bill technician’s times on all work orders.
  • Ensure technician’s paperwork is complete and handed in on a timely basis.
  • Ensure all outside purchased parts are billed to proper work orders.
  • Ensure warranty claims are input promptly and timely.
  • Schedule Technician service calls.
  • Invoice customer completed jobs and ensure proper information is entered onto computer system.
  • Maintain and adhere to all company policies.
  • Schedule all regular and planned Maintenance calls.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft computer programs, must have the ability to multitask, organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Heavy equipment operation preferred.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Service desk experience and an excellent telephone manner to attend incoming calls and make multiple outgoing calls are also critical skill sets.
  • Strong communication skills, via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Exercising discretion and confidentiality, with sensitive company information.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Experience with international shipping including border and customs documentation and requirements a definite asset.
  • Post-Secondary Education and proven experience working in a parts and service operation (specific knowledge of the heavy equipment / truck parts industry is a definite asset.
  • Willingness also to learn new products and systems is a key asset.
  • The successful candidate must have a valid Class 1 Driver’s License.
  • This is a fulltime position

    Salary of $25 to $35 per hour, depending on working experience.
