We invite a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our college health services team. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of primary and urgent care to a diverse student population, enhancing their overall health and academic success.

Job Details

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Salary: $55 – $65 Per hour depending on experience

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience, preferably for youth or adolescent health
• Graduate from an accredited PA program and certified by the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, with a preference for experience in youth or adolescent health

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of students
• Perform minor surgical procedures and manage emergency health situations
• Coordinate with specialists and provide follow-up care as necessary
• Educate students on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Participate in community health initiatives and wellness programs

Skills and Abilities

• Strong clinical and diagnostic skill
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Able to travel locally if required
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in English
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in French is an asset
