Job description

Hays has partnered with an integrated local firm who are looking for a Project Architect to join their Calgary team. This award winning firm is made up of architects, interior designers and engineers with a common mind set to create resilient and inspiring environments for the communities they work within. Specializing in a diverse range of projects, including multifamily (mid & high rise), mountain retreats, and commercial developments across Alberta, they are renowned for their innovative designs and commitment to sustainability.

  • this is a hybrid role, 2 days a week from home

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading and managing the design and construction of multiple commercial, high-rise and mountain projects.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other team members.
  • You will prepare and review project proposals, contracts, budgets, and timelines.
  • Ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Manage project teams, and ensure that all team members are working effectively and efficiently, and provide technical guidance and support to project teams as needed.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date and manage project budgets and timelines to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university.
  • 8 - 15 years of experience and have previous experience working on various project types including multifamily, high-rise experience is strongly preferred.
  • Technical proficiency in Revit & AutoCAD
  • Prior leadership, coaching and mentorship experience – capable of managing a project and project team from pursuit to construction completion, including scope, budgets and schedule
  • Creative, innovative and a natural role model with strong problem solving and time management skills
  • Registration, LEED & PMP Certification are a bonus but not a requirement.
  • The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $90,000 - $100,000 + RRSP, extended benefits and hybrid work environment.
