About the Role

The Senior Technician is an experienced employee performing all sample management tasks autonomously and is responsible for:

• Conducting general activities for one or multiple Sample Management groups, sample reception, service request, and disposal or shipment.
• Storage equipment organization and optimization.
• Providing support for lab tasks coordination and priorities.
• Coaching and training new technicians.

What You'll Do Here

• Storage equipment inventory, organization, transfers, and optimization.
• Coaching and training new technicians.
• Participating in training and process improvements.
• Supporting Technician I and II during complex tasks.
• Generating Watson study material reports.
• Acting as a back‑up for technicians in other Sample Management Team (inter‑teams).
• Manipulating Containment Level 2/cytotoxic study material.
• Supporting technicians with completion of various forms and documentation through Sample Management groups in accordance with GDP.
• Participating in laboratory investigation.
• Conducting sample disposal for complex studies.
• Planning shipment to Montreal Clinic Storage facility, and reporting to sponsors.
• Maintaining study material inventory.
• Ensuring compliance with SOPs, GLPs, GCPs and company guidelines.
• Performing any other task as required.

What You'll Need To Succeed

• A Diploma of College Studies or BSc with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• Knowledge of FDA‑GLP, GCP and TPD regulation (asset).
• Experience in the medical or pharmaceutical field (asset).
• Knowledge of Watson LIMS (asset).
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Knowledge of SharePoint Office 365 and PowerBI (asset).
• Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, customer focus, teamwork.
• Software: MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Watson LIMS.

Language Requirement

Altasciences strives to provide a French work environment for its employees in Quebec. This role requires proficiency in English and French as study protocols, designs and documents are written in English.
