Enterprise Application Architect

Contract Length : 13 months approx.

Compensation : $98 / hour

Scope :

The purpose of this project is to continue to build and scale out Digital Compliance Platform (DCP) as a shared use service / product for regulatory Ontario Ministry compliance related programs.

This will include updates to DCP's business and technical architecture and maturing of its DevOps processes like automated testing.

This also include Evergreening, future proofing DCP, as well as any maintenance and support, and platform support DCP requires.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct support, maintenance, prototyping, and configuration of a complex Oracle Siebel Solution.
• Perform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of Siebel implementation and its integration with subsidiary systems (PEP, ONE-KEY, ERDMS, Oracle Service Cloud, GIS - ArcGIS) in Development and Production environments.
• Develop and configure integration of Siebel with other ministry applications using web services or other mechanisms.
• Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve defects / incidents.
• Document processes and technical designs; update build books.
• Provide accurate estimates for proposed features / enhancements and review estimates from other team members.
• Engage with The Land and Resources Cluster (LRC) and program staff to develop techniques to expedite implementation.
• Work closely with Project Manager and lead architect; participate in planning and design processes.
• Design and develop prototypes and proof of concepts.
• Collaborate with LRC staff on actual implementation and document performance measures of new environments.
• Evaluate fit / gap analysis between high-level requirements and Oracle Siebel Public Sector capabilities.
• Research Oracle tools and techniques to recommend improved design, functionality, and / or performance.
• Develop unit testing scripts to confirm successful installation / configuration.
• Develop prototype integration framework to ensure successful implementation using Open UI scripting, EAI, EIM, ETL web services, and REST service.
• Plan and develop data migration and / or integration (ETL or web services) from other ministry solutions to the Siebel solution.
• Ensure compliance with I&IT and Communication standards and directives (e.g., AODA, digital design principles, and web style guides).
• Ensure designs are scalable for multiple screen platforms.
• Recommend development and support technologies for efficient code management.
• Ensure web pages are AODA compliant and compatible across multiple browser technologies.
• Develop testing scripts to ensure integrity during change.
• Define diagnostic methods to help incident management.
• Engage with LRC staff to troubleshoot problems in DR / RR migration and LOV migration.

Knowledge Transfer Requirements :

• Conduct regular meetings, touchpoints, and working sessions with LRC staff for knowledge transfer.
• Transfer all design, development artifacts, source code, and relevant documents to the ministry’s designated repositories.
• Schedule dedicated knowledge transfer sessions to ensure completeness and allow LRC staff to ask follow-up questions.

Must-Haves :

• 10+ years with Siebel Public Sector 8.x and 2+ years with Siebel IP2018+.
• 10+ years of experience with Siebel data model, including data model extension and EIM.
• 10+ years of experience with Siebel Remote, including Docking Object and Siebel Anywhere.
• 7+ years of experience with Siebel OpenUI, including PM / PR Scripting.
• 5+ years of experience with Siebel Smart Scripts and Task-Based UI.
• 10+ years of experience with Siebel e-Services.
• 10+ years of experience with Siebel EAI, EIM, BI Publisher Reports.
• Experience with Oracle Service Cloud (OSC).
• 5+ years of experience with Java™ Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Java™, JavaScript, jQuery, Jscript bootstrap framework, HTML 5, and CSS.
• 5+ years of experience with REST web services (using JSON).

Nice to Have :

• Knowledge of AODA, WCAG, and Web accessibility.
