What will you do?
As a member of our Delivery and Customer Services team to fulfill our Spares Supply objectives, you will be delivering high performance in safety and reliability, measured by cost, quality, and customer satisfaction. As the Material & Inventory Specialist you will take a key role to ensure the daily and strategic materials and spares for the new fleet trainsets are delivered to our Customer. Coordinate and perform inventory counts, manage material shipping with internal and external suppliers and individual parts identification to fulfill customer expectations and business requirements. Driving increased productivity and quality through strong know‑how, experience, successful collaboration, and innovative thinking.
Responsibilities
Ensure a safe working environment on your day‑to‑day work at all timesAdhere to the processes assigned to the material supply chain activities and warehouse operationsPerform and monitor inventory cycle count activities at the depotsEnsure on‑time receipts of material to the stores, transfers, drop ships and standard fulfillmentManage system stocking and inventory levels to ensure required material is on hand when neededCoordinate cross‑border and local material shipping activitiesMaintenance of inventory lists and KPIsOrder tracking in CMMS (Maximo) and SalesforceRepair and scrap inventory movementsManage the distribution of materials to support the train fleet on site and in operationParticipate in the identification of part numbersMonitor parts consumption on work order levelEnsure that defective core material is returned in a timely mannerSupport Maintenance Planners for material supply issuesInterface with the customers workshop personnel and project team to identify, align and support day‑to‑day and urgent material needsFamiliarity with Hazardous Material transportation requirements on both United States and CanadaOther responsibilities less defined in scope to fulfill customer expectations and business deliverablesWhat will you need to succeed?
Post‑secondary education or Technical Diploma in Electrical, mechanical, industrial or related field3+ years of professional experience in a material and / or logistics coordination, management experience required. The preferred candidate will have experience in the railway industry or corresponding experience in a related fieldERP and / or MRP systems as well as additional planning software (e.g. CMMS Maximo, SAP)Good command of various MS Office applications (Excel, Access, PPT, Word, etc)Required travel : Approx. 20%Other Requirements :
