Lead and manage the Edwards Country organization with full P&L responsibility focusing on driving business performance, sustainable growth, employee performance and number of patients served.
In charge of implementing the Edwards innovation strategy and representing the company towards local authorities and professional associations.
How you'll make an impact :
Internal focus / People Management and local business support :
P&L full accountability and for delivering financial objectives accelerating growth in Canada across all BUs.
Direct a complete functional area (all BUs, marketing, pricing, business intelligence, strategy, Prof Ed, Customer service and Public Affairs) through multiple levels of management within the company while developing and implementing strategic vision, plans and objectives for the organization in alignment with corporate and regional strategy.
Assess and elevate opportunities and threats to ensure the local agenda is prioritized and the defined CLT strategic objectives are met.
In charge of the key account management strategy reinforcing cross-collaboration between business units and the different functions to ultimately accelerate growth and maintain leadership.
Cultivate and promote a strong company culture consistent with our credo and aspirations and champion / lead local Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging initiatives and champion employee engagement.
Develop a robust talent development plan and succession plan in alignment with functional growth strategies of the department.
External focus :
Deploy patient access strategy and execute highly innovative projects to increase outreach to patients with structural heart disease.
Manage the Public Affairs and Market Access team and together draft the public affairs and government agenda and execute the coalition agenda in Canada.
As the highest local authority, represent Edwards towards regulatory bodies, national professional associations and Key Opinion Leaders and is personally accountable for the legal compliance of the country.
Oversee and establish trust-based relationships with following Institutions and policymakers : Prime Minister office, Members of National Parliaments, Treasury, Ministry of Finance, Economy and Health.
Represent the Company in Trade Associations Boards, Think-Thanks Boards, and execute the coalition building Public Affairs agenda in these stakeholders’ settings.
Act as a company spokesperson when requested to promote, build, and protect the company´s reputation and facilitate the execution of the Regional external communication and country patients’ advocacy strategies.
Establish, strengthen and maintain a fluid dialogue with representatives of National Institutions, in particular : members of Parliaments, Prime Minister Office, Minister of Treasury, Economy, Health and Research.
What you'll need :
Master's Degree or equivalent Experience as a business unit manager / general manager overseeing cross-functional areas at country level Required and
Experience developing and executing complex strategies at country level Required
Other : in MBA, PharmD, PhD, MD with a Fellowship in Outcome Research or Pharmacoeconomics strongly preferred. Experience in conducting health economics, patient-reported outcomes, retrospective data analyses, epidemiology or health services research projects highly Preferred.
Experience developing pharma / health-economic models, either for publication or for interactive use with customers Preferred.
Experience working in a regulated industry Preferred.
