We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations. The Controller will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making and ensure the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trade or project accounting and a proven track record of leadership in a similar role.

Salary range : $90,000 to $120,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets for projects and operational expenses.
  • Coordinate with external accountants and tax advisors to ensure timely completion of audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior management to facilitate decision-making and achieve business objectives.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional designation such as CPA or CA is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, cost accounting, and project financial management.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with Microsoft GP is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
