Estimator | Construction Estimator | Civil Estimator.

Kieswetter Excavating – Waterloo Region | Kitchener | Cambridge.

Kieswetter Excavating is looking for an experienced estimator to join our team. We're a fourth-generation, family-owned heavy civil construction company in the Waterloo area. Our small but mighty team operates in a relaxed, collaborative environment where decisions get made quickly.

What we specialize in :

Sewer and watermain installation.
Earthworks and grading.
Concrete work.
Road construction and asphalt.
Demolitions.
Municipal infrastructure projects.

What you'll do :

Prepare cost estimates and bid proposals for civil infrastructure projects.

Review RFPs, tenders, and contract documents.

Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.

Work with Bid2Win estimating software.

Collaborate with our project management and field teams.

Build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

Support pre-construction planning.

Required qualifications :

2+ years of estimating experience in civil construction, infrastructure, or heavy civil work.

Strong understanding of earthwork, underground utilities, and / or concrete construction.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and OPSS standards.

Solid math skills and attention to detail.

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Preferred qualifications :

5+ years of estimating experience.

Experience with Bid2Win or similar estimating software.

Knowledge of municipal bidding processes.

Existing relationships with local suppliers and subcontractors.
