Sales Assistant

MODPOOLS / MODPRO is a leader in designing and manufacturing innovative modular pools, offices, bathrooms and much more. The pools have been showcased on Yahoo, Uncrate, CountryLiving, CBS, TrendHunter, CTV Vancouver and the Vancouver Sun. Modpools is continuing to grow, and is searching for a Sales Assistant.

The Role :

In partnership with the sales and marketing team, the Sales Assistant will be responsible for business development. The successful individual will implement a sales plan that will contribute to the overall revenue strategy.

The Responsibilities :

  • Assist with executing a sales strategy to meet and exceed monthly revenue targets, establish sales metrics with marketing and sales team
  • Work in various departments to gather knowledge on processes, procedures, products and safety
  • Use effective prospecting techniques including, scheduling follow-ups and qualifying leads, and identifying solutions to meet customer needs, using a CRM, data tracking and spreadsheets
  • Demonstrating a consultative approach, qualify business opportunities via inbound sales requests and direct mail promotions
  • Assist walk in customers, adhering to Modpools’ customer experience and service standards
  • Create proposals and quotations in a professional manner, consistent with the company brand, successfully negotiate and close deals
  • Keep meticulous records relating to sales activity, comfortable with technology, proficient
  • Stay current with sales metrics and potential trends, communicate regularly with marketing and sales team, maintain high levels of customer service

The Requirements :

  • Post-secondary education or 2-3 years of successful track record in sales and customer service
  • An over-achiever by nature, internally driven to succeed, entrepreneurial and capable of working independently
  • Demonstrates energy and a sense of urgency when executing day-to-day responsibilities, works collaboratively with the team to achieve overall success
  • A natural relationship builder with the ability to prioritize and focus on revenue generating activities, above average attention to detail
  • A consummate communicator who is able to adapt to various personality types and leverage communication skills for success
  • Proficient with Microsoft office programs specifically, Outlook, Word and Excel, understands how maintaining accurate records is the foundation for success and growth
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence
