Job Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team, specializing in Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) construction projects.
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, ensuring that project budgets align with client expectations, and assisting in securing profitable projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Cost Estimating : Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for ICI construction projects.
- Bid Preparation : Develop and submit competitive bids by compiling cost information, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
- Risk Assessment : Identify potential project risks and incorporate contingency plans and pricing adjustments as needed.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination : Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Quantity Takeoffs : Perform detailed quantity takeoffs to assess the scope of work and ensure all materials and labor are accounted for.
- Project Analysis : Evaluate project timelines, materials costs, and labor productivity to provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Reporting : Maintain accurate records of estimates, project bids, and supporting documentation to ensure clear communication with management and clients.
- Market Research : Stay informed about current market trends, pricing fluctuations, and changes in construction practices or regulations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in estimating for ICI construction projects.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift).
- Strong understanding of ICI construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
