Were looking for a Intern Software Developer For Entrusts Citizen Remote Identity Verification team (CIDV) - Hybrid in Ottawa

We are seeking a motivated Software Developer Intern to join our team for an 8-month term. This is an excellent opportunity for a 4th-year Computer Science or Software Engineering student (or 3rd-year with relevant experience) to gain hands-on experience in modern software development practices.

How you will make an impact:

• Collaborate with the development team to design develop and maintain software applications.

• Work on projects leveraging .NET Core and C# for backend development.

• Contribute to AI development initiatives including integrating AI-driven features into applications.

• Utilize GitHub Copilot and other modern tools to enhance productivity and code quality.

• Participate in code reviews testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science Software Engineering or related program.

• 4th-year student preferred; 3rd-year students with relevant experience will be considered.

• Experience with React .NET Core and C#.

• Experience with AI development concepts and frameworks.

• Knowledge of GitHub and version control best practices.

• Located in Ottawa and able to work hybrid.

• Proficient in verbal and written communication.

• Strong attention to detail time management and planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding tools.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

• Understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns.

• Experience using tools to manage build and test code.

• Interest in learning additional languages and frameworks as needed.

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $26 - $28 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on education skills and experience.
