Project Manager II

Summary:

Act as a liaison between the client andThermoFisher’s internalPharmaceutical Development Services (PDS) organization to ensure that all needs are met concerning both project budgets and timelines.

Essential Functions:

Project Management:

• Manageapproximately 6-10active medium projects with minimalassistancefromManagement.

• Resolve project issues and resource constraints within the team and with moderateassistance.

• Facilitate positive team member interactions andmanagesconflict with minimalassistance.

• Establish/Practicestandard project reporting procedures to client and management (minutes, agendas).

Client Management:

• Manage client satisfaction by managing client expectations efficiently with minimalassistancefromManagement.

• Maintainvery goodrelationshipwithclientand growitpositively.

Product Development:

• Make recommendations on drug development and regulatory guidelinestoclient.

Business Management:

• Plan,monitorand ensure completion of all activities outlined in the client quote for each project.

• Prepare amendments for changesofscopein a timely manner.

• Create andmaintainclient timelines.

• Create andmaintaindeliverables withinChangepoint.

• Contribute to Unit monthly forecasts by managing project Estimated Monetary Value (EMV)and tracking reporting of revenue Risks and Opportunities.

• Findopportunities to improve performance ofPDSPM Department with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive the performance of the PDS PM Department, thesite,and the Network(asappropriate)

People Management:

• Support onboarding and training for new hires within the PDS PM Department.

• Maintain a safe working environment andreportspotential hazards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

College Diploma in related field.

Bachelor’s degree inScience,Pharmacy, EngineeringorBusinessan asset.

Experience:

Minimum5yearsindustry experience.

Minimum2yearsexperiencemanaging projectsor clients.

Project Management / Business managementexperiencean asset.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.

Equivalency:

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Physical Requirements:

Light physical effort and fatigue. Walks,sitsor stands for limited periods. May require occasional equipment operation including keyboard equipment. Lifts light items for limited duration. Typicallylocatedin a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes orodours, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.Use of Personal Protective equipment may berequiredand may include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves,hair net, beard cover,safety apron,respiratoronoccasionally.

Compensation

The salary range estimated for this position based in Ontario is $76,–$114,
