Job Title: Material HandlerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to operate the Versa-Lift 40/60 MHE on the axle line. The role involves lifting loads ranging from 10,000 lbs to 45,000 lbs and moving unfinished axles between workstations. You will ensure that axles are properly positioned and fastened on the MHE and at each work station. Additionally, conducting inspections on MHE to ensure safe operating conditions is an integral part of this job.

Responsibilities

• Operate Versa-Lift 40/60 MHE on the axle line.
• Lift and move loads between 10,000 lbs to 45,000 lbs.
• Transfer unfinished axles between work stations.
• Ensure proper positioning and fastening of axles on MHE and at workstations.
• Complete inspections to confirm MHE are in safe operating condition.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating Versa-Lift brand or similar heavy-duty machinery.
• Valid forklift certification.
• Experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Skills in material handling, inventory, and general labor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with heavy equipment operation.
• Familiarity with reach trucks and overhead cranes.

Work Environment

Work in a very large welding shop that is well-organized and maintained. Conditions can be hot inside during warm weather, but the environment is equipped with fans and large bay doors for air circulation. Enjoy a positive work culture where colleagues are approachable and helpful. The afternoon shift runs from Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm. Overtime is optional, with additional pay incentives.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
