What You'll Do :

Independently or in collaboration with other members of the ACSI engineering and RF groups the RF Engineer / Specialist will be responsible for :

  • Implement technical solutions.
  • Designing, production, assembly, and testing of the overall cyclotron RF system in conjunction with other functional groups and including RF Power Amplifiers, RF Resonators, and the RF Controls System.
  • Commissioning of RF Systems.
  • Providing onsite training for Cyclotron Operators.
  • Troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing RF Systems.

What You'll Bring :

The successful candidate will have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to become an RF Systems Engineer / Specialist at ACSI. Specific requirements include :

Education and Experience

  • University degree in electrical engineering, engineering physics, or a related field with strong focus on high power RF equipment / technology and controls theory.
  • Practical experience with High power RF Systems is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of electronics, thus capable of troubleshooting electronic circuits.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and servicing large power supplies and solid-state amplifiers, high voltage equipment and maybe even RF equipment and high-power vacuum tube technology.
  • Experience with analog / digital PCB and schematics design and simulation.
  • Previous experience leading a technical team.
  • Experience with typical Engineering Change Management Processes.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Eligibility for registering with EGBC is an asset.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Strong documentation, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to customer sites.
  • Work Environment :

  • Fast paced environment with priorities that often change to meet current priorities.
  • Travel to customer sites is required. A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally.
  • Safety regulations and codes during all electrical operations must be followed.
  • Casual production type environment
