JOB OVERVIEW
The MRO Planning Manager role is within the Business Development department, led by the Director of Business Development.
The MRO Planning Manager reports to the Senior Manager Business Development and is responsible for the development and delivery of accurate, competitively priced estimates. The MRO Planning Manager is responsible for collaborating with all stakeholders to develop and improve KF’s labour estimates and Pre-Planning processes in support of customer quotes and projects.
This position has direct oversight of the BD Estimating team and the BD Pre-Planning team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning / Estimating oversight
- Receives all customer requests for services
- Logs all customer requests for services & assigns QE numbers for tracking.
- Works with customers & contract leads to gain a complete understanding of all project requirements
- Engages stakeholders and leads the process to determine ‘go or no go’ based on the bid strategy, approval authority, profit, risk, fishing bid, future work, T&M versus fixed bid, risk for buffer, specific billing requirements, specific procedures, audit calculations, etc.
- Assigns projects to MRO Planner / Estimator based on capacity and experience with specific project
- Reviews estimates produced by Estimators and priced by MRO Contracts Coordinator to ensure details, accuracy, span & assumptions are acceptable and price is developed accordingly.
- Validates sizing sheets, NR ratios and summary pages
- Acts as a communication link between customer and internal stakeholders
- Identifies and communicates any potential issues to schedules for resolution
- Sets priorities for Pre-planning projects and ensures accomplishment of tasks
- Ensures accurate and timely package handover to applicable Hangar team
- Supports communication and sharing of work packages & data between BD & internal departments
Customer Relations Management
