Mainframe Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled

Mainframe Developer

to join our team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mainframe technologies, job scheduling tools, and source control systems, with a proven ability to work in Agile environments. This role requires hands‑on development, maintenance, and support of enterprise applications while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications using

COBOL, JCL, IMS DB, DB2, VSAM, and CICS .

Manage and monitor batch processes with

CA-7

and

Control‑M .

Utilize source control tools such as

Endevor, Changeman, and GIT

for version management.

Work with mainframe utilities including

z / OS Connect, IDz, ZDT, ADDI, PD Tool, and IMS Explorer for Development .

Collaborate using ITSM tools ( Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow ) to track and resolve issues.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Strong experience in mainframe development and support.

Proficiency with job scheduling and source control tools.

Familiarity with ITSM platforms and Agile methodologies.

Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
