Summary
As a member of the store’s Management Team, the Logistics Manager contributes to the success of the store by communicating the business objectives of the Dealer / GM to his / her team. The Logistics Manager is responsible for managing and leading the Warehouse / Receiving, Promo and Filling teams. Providing high quality execution and service through the efficient flow of merchandise from the back door to the customer and managing the weekly execution of in-store promotions (labelled, full, and impactful) and ensuring that the feature area(s) have a combination of seasonally relevant and 300 deal merchandise, in store specials, impulse items and regular merchandise.

- Ensures that the warehouse team manages a well-organized warehouse focused on health and safety and productivity.
Operations
Maintains quality Warehouse & Receiving, through daily inspections and ensuring all store audit performances requirements are met within the warehouse. Capable of using the corporate system tools and best practice initiatives, reports and fast find system to manage a well-run Logistics team.Maintains standards, through daily inspections and ensuring all store audit performance requirements are met in the department (e.g., number of holes, labels, top shelf storage, rain check posted for out-of-stock items, deadlines of seasonal changeovers, cleanliness, facing, fixtures are stored away when not in use, etc.).Monitors and improves the productivity of the warehouse, promo and filling team through strong leadership, motivation and team building.Consistently follows up on work and projects on the floor and in the warehouse in order to measure progress, while being visible and available for team members and customers.Keeps abreast of upcoming promotions (i.e., deal letter, flyer, etc.) and plans resources and timelines accordingly for the maintenance of the feature areas within the store budget.Develops and maintains a weekly plan for current and upcoming deals and advises the Management Team of the promotional plans.Executes the weekly deals and ensures the promotional items are placed and priced appropriately in the feature areas.Advises appropriate personnel of any products that may require special pricing for sell after the deal.Communicates any product shortages prior to the deal to Dealer / General Manager / Buyer.Identifies location of all promotional products in the feature area for all staff and marks location on a flyer.Ensures that all feature areas are topped up, faced and ready for business before the store closes.Manages the sell through of 99 and 199 products, in store specials, FMA products and products in the “AS IS” program.Manages and maintains deal bunk area (warehouse), ensuring all products are displayed on the retail floor.Manages the feature ends, side panels and platform displays by replenishing as required to maximize sales and profits.Provides support to cashiers and customer service representatives for cash pick-ups, cash closing, warranties, returns, guarantees, etc.Builds and maintains rapport with internal and external customers or vendors, as required.Communicates and ensures compliance with company, store and department policies, as well as health and safety programs and regulations.Maintains and promotes safety and security procedures and ensures team member compliance with those procedures.Participates in training and ensures team member training is completed on time, as required (including Canadian Tire University training).Assists in selecting and orientating new employees, store opening and closing responsibilities as part of the management rotation.Organizes and conducts regular team meetings and actively participates in store management meetings.Manages the safe and efficient delivery, storage and placement of merchandise from the truck into the warehouse and / or onto the retail floor.Completes other tasks, as requiredPotential Career Opportunities
