Our client, a crown corporation with the Province of Nova Scotia, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Administrator to provide comprehensive support to the executive team and CEO in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

This is a contract opportunity with strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate, and is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to anticipate the needs of executives.

Key Responsibilities for the Job :

  • Manage and coordination the CEO's electronic calendar
  • Manage and track all correspondence to the Executive Office
  • Preparing professional correspondence
  • Ensuring appropriate signatures and signoffs as needed
  • Liaise with units and team members across the agency
  • General record tracking and filing
  • Other administrative duties as needed

Experience & Attributes for Success :

  • Completion of a recognized office administration program
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven executive / senior level support
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor
  • Discretion and integrity when handling confidential information
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed
