We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Continuing Care Assistants in Training. In this role, you will undergo training that would help become a successful Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) and provide essential support to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Each shift may be varied and could include helping with daily activities of living, personal care, respite for caregivers, recreation activities or meal preparation. Care takes place in home of the client.
The Successful Continuing Care Assistant in Training must have:
- Plans to successfully complete CCA Exam in four months
- Possession of a driver's license and access to a vehicle is preferred but not mandatory; applicants without transportation will still be considered
- Flexibility on your schedule is required for this role
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification required.
- Must pass a thorough criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening.
- Genuine interest in providing care and support to individuals in need.
- Demonstrated commitment to client safety and building respectful relationships with clients and their families to fulfill their care requirements.
- Proven history of accountability for multiple tasks, documentation and reporting
- Proficiency in problem-solving, while also knowing when to seek assistance from colleagues or supervisors.

Work Schedule and Overtime:

This position involves a six-month fixed cycle schedule repeating over a 2-week period

Hours will be averaged over the 2-week cycle, and overtime pay is applicable if total hours worked exceed 96 hours per cycle.
