Position Summary
Under the direction of the Supervisor / Designate, the Field Technician (FT) is responsible for supporting a variety of computer technologies in the School Board at multiple sites.
Support is facilitated through onsite visitation and remote connectivity. The FT’s primary role is to support and maintain client side computer technologies.
The FT will also troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, and assist with selected end-user training and orientation where applicable.

Basic Qualifications :
The basic qualifications for this position include :
- Diploma from a recognized post- secondary Institution in Computer Science, or Information Technology or a combination of education and experience
- A minimum of one (1) year working in a system support role in Information and Communication Technology
- Proficient in the use of Board provided computer-based technologies to create, manipulate, store and retrieve information, and communicate with others
- Enterprise experience in Service Desk Ticketing and managing tools
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Professional Information Technology (IT) certification is considered an asset (e.g. Microsoft Technology Associate MTA)
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
- Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)
- Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC)
- Google Certified Administrator
- Experience Administering Enterprise Mobile Management solutions such as Airwatch
